On-page SEO: the half you actually control.

Tech Conversion provides on-page SEO for businesses in India, the UAE and the USA whose good pages are not ranking, giving each page one search to own, rewriting titles and headings, and linking pages so authority reaches the ones that sell.

Titles, headings, internal links and page structure, done page by page. The part of search work that does not depend on anybody else agreeing to anything.

  • A page to keyword map
  • Cannibalisation resolved
  • Titles and headings
  • Internal linking

Typical timelineThree to five weeks for a normal site. Movement usually shows within four to eight weeks, faster than off-page work because nothing depends on anybody else.

Who needs this

Three of your pages are competing for the same search, and all three lose.

Pages get added over years, each one sensible on the day it was written. Nobody keeps a list of which page is for which search, so two or three end up aimed at the same thing. Search engines pick one, usually not the one you would have picked, and the others dilute it.

  • A site that grew page by page

Nobody planned the whole, so nothing is aimed anywhere in particular.

  • Good content that does not rank

Often because three pages are splitting one search between them.

  • Before you spend on links

Off-page work amplifies whatever is there. Amplifying a confused structure amplifies the confusion.

  • After a rebuild

Where content moved and nobody re-checked what each page is now for.

  • You cannot say which page targets which search
  • Your title tags repeat the company name and little else
  • Rankings swap between two of your own pages
  • Nothing links to your most important page except the menu

What the work is

What is in, and what is not

Said in both directions, so nothing is waiting to be added once the work has started.

Included, every time

  1. 01
    A page to keyword map

One page per search intent, written down, so nobody optimises two pages onto the same term again.

  2. 02
    Cannibalisation resolved

Where pages compete, one is chosen, the others are merged or repointed.

  3. 03
    Titles and headings

Rewritten to say what people type, inside the length Google will actually show.

  4. 04
    Internal linking

Links from pages that have authority to pages that need it, with anchor text that says what the target is.

  5. 05
    Content depth

Where a page is thinner than what outranks it, what is missing is named rather than a word count set.

  6. 06
    Structured data

Where a page type supports it, implemented to the published vocabulary.

Not included

  • Link building and other off-page work
  • Writing entirely new articles, which is content marketing
  • Technical crawl and index fixes, which are technical SEO
  • A redesign, though we will say if one is the honest answer

What changes

What you get out of it

For the business, not for the website. What we do is the previous section; this is what it is for.

  • Every page has a job

Written down, so the next person to add a page can check before repeating the problem.

  • Pages stop competing

One page per intent, which is usually the largest single gain here.

  • Important pages get support

Internal links are free and most sites waste them entirely.

  • Later work pays better

Links and content both amplify structure. Fixing structure first is the cheaper order.

What it is held to

Standards and frameworks

Named, published and checkable. These are the frameworks the work is built to and tested against, not badges we claim.

  • Google Search Essentials

Google's published guidance on titles, headings and helpful content, including what it considers content written for search engines rather than people.

  • Schema.org

The published structured data vocabulary, implemented and validated rather than guessed at.

  • WCAG 2.2, level AA

Headings in order and meaningful link text. Accessibility and on-page structure are largely the same discipline described twice.

How it runs

On-page optimisation, step by step

Six steps, and what each one hands you at the end of it.

  1. 01

    Research

What you sell, who buys it and what they search, with the volume behind each term, so every page is matched to real demand.

You getKeyword research, or a check of the research you already have.

  2. 02

    Map

Every page against the search it should own, including the ones that should own nothing.

You getA page to keyword map you keep.

  3. 03

    Resolve

Pages that compete for the same search are merged, repointed or retired.

You getA report of competing pages and the changes made.

  4. 04

    Rewrite

Titles, headings and descriptions, page by page.

    You getThe changes live.

  5. 05

    Link

Internal links added where authority exists and is not being passed on.

You getAn internal linking plan, implemented.

  6. 06

    Measure

Rankings and clicks for each changed page compared before and after, and anything that moved the wrong way revisited.

You getA before and after report, page by page.

  1. 01Research. Keyword research, or a check of the research you already have.
  2. 02Map. A page to keyword map you keep.
  3. 03Resolve. A report of competing pages and the changes made.
  4. 04Rewrite. The changes live.
  5. 05Link. An internal linking plan, implemented.
  6. 06Measure. A before and after report, page by page.

What lands, and what you bring

Deliverables, timeline and what we need from you

You receive

  • A page to keyword map covering every page
  • A cannibalisation report and the fixes applied
  • Rewritten titles, headings and descriptions
  • An internal linking plan, implemented
  • A list of pages recommended for merging or retiring

How long

Three to five weeks for a normal site. Movement usually shows within four to eight weeks, faster than off-page work because nothing depends on anybody else.

You bring

  • Search Console and analytics access
  • Permission to change page copy
  • Somebody who can decide when two pages should become one
  • Keyword research, or we do it first

What it costs

Priced as a digital marketing engagement

Priced as an engagement rather than monthly, because on-page work is largely a fixed job with a finish line. Sites that publish continuously often keep a smaller monthly arrangement afterwards.

Starts from

₹22,000/month

$500 a month if you pay from outside India.

Monthly, rolling

All three engagements, side by side

What moves the figure

  • How many pages
  • Whether keyword research exists
  • How much cannibalisation there is
  • Whether we implement or hand over

A written quote follows the strategy discussion. Nothing is added afterwards that was not named in it.

Where it goes wrong

Common on-page SEO mistakes

The mistakes we see most, including ones we have made. Worth knowing before you buy this from anyone.

  1. Optimising two pages onto one term

The most common on-page problem and the least noticed. Both pages lose to a competitor with one.

  2. Writing titles for the company rather than the search

Putting your brand first in every title spends the most valuable characters on somebody who already knows you.

  3. Adding words to reach a count

Length is a symptom of covering a subject properly, not a cause of ranking.

  4. Ignoring internal links

They are free, entirely within your control, and most sites use them only for navigation.

The honest comparison

What else you could do

Including the options where you do not hire us. One of them is right for some readers of this page.

  • Do it yourself from a checklist

The site is small and you have the time.

Free, and checklists miss cannibalisation because it needs the whole picture.

  • Fix the top ten pages only

Budget is tight. Often a sensible start.

Less, and the rest stays as it is.

Almost never. It amplifies whatever structure exists.

More, for less, in the wrong order.

  • On-page SEO optimisation from us

The site grew page by page and nobody can say what each one is for.

A fixed engagement with a finish line.

Proof

What this looks like in practice

This is a new service page and no on-page case study is published. What can be checked is this site: every page on it has a recorded target keyword with a volume behind it, and the map is maintained rather than assumed.

Questions

On-page SEO questions, answered

The things people ask about on-page seo before they buy it.

  • What is on-page SEO?

Everything on your own pages that affects ranking: what each page is about, its title and headings, the internal links pointing at it, and whether two pages compete for the same search. It is the only part of SEO that does not depend on anybody outside your business.

  • What is keyword cannibalisation?

When two or more of your pages target the same search. Search engines pick one, usually not the one you would have picked, and the others dilute it. It is the most common on-page problem and the least noticed.

  • How long should a title tag be?

Short enough that Google shows all of it, which is roughly sixty characters. Beyond that it is cut off mid sentence. Google also rewrites titles it judges unhelpful, so a title that does not match what somebody typed may never be shown as written.

  • Do I need more words on my pages?

Usually not. Length is a symptom of covering a subject properly rather than a cause of ranking. What matters is whether the page answers the question more completely than the pages currently above it.

  • How long does on-page SEO take to work?

Movement usually shows in four to eight weeks, which is faster than off-page work because nothing depends on anybody else agreeing to anything.

  • Which on-page SEO techniques matter most?

Giving each page one search to own matters most. After that come titles and headings that use the words people type, internal links from strong pages to the ones that need support, and content that answers the question more fully than the pages above you. Structured data helps where the page type supports it.

  • What is on-page optimisation in digital marketing?

It is the part of digital marketing that improves your own web pages so search engines and visitors understand them: what each page is about, its title and headings, its internal links and its content. It also makes paid ads, email and social work better, because they all send people to your pages.

  • Can you guarantee first-page rankings?

No. Search engines decide rankings, and competitors and links play a part we do not control. What we promise is a page by page map, fixes for pages that compete with each other, rewritten titles and headings, better internal linking, and a before and after report so you can see what moved.
