WordPress website maintenance services so the site you paid for stays the site you paid for.

Tech Conversion provides WordPress website maintenance services for businesses in India, the UAE and the USA whose sites were built and then left alone, applying tested updates, keeping backups that restore, watching uptime and security, and reporting every month on what was done.

Updates, backups, security patches and the small fixes nobody schedules. A monthly plan that keeps a site fast, current and online, instead of a panic call when something breaks.

  • Updates, applied and checked
  • Backups you can actually restore
  • Uptime and certificate monitoring
  • Security patching

Typical timelineThe audit takes a few days. After that it is monthly, and the plan can be stopped at the end of any month.

Who needs this

Nobody notices maintenance until the day it is missing.

A site is handed over working. Then plugins go out of date, a certificate expires, a form stops sending, and the page that was fast last year is not any more. None of it is dramatic on the day it happens, which is exactly why it is still there six months later.

  • The site was built and then left alone

It still works, but nothing has been updated since handover and nobody is sure what would happen if something broke.

  • There is no in house technical person

Somebody in the office has the password. That is the whole arrangement.

  • The site earns money and cannot be down

An hour offline costs more than a year of maintenance, and there is currently nothing between you and that hour.

  • You keep paying for one off fixes

Each small change is quoted, approved and invoiced separately, which costs more and takes longer than a plan.

  • You do not know when the site was last backed up
  • The admin shows updates waiting and nobody applies them
  • A form stopped sending and you found out from a customer
  • The person who built it has moved on and nobody else has the logins

What the work is

What is in, and what is not

Said in both directions, so nothing is waiting to be added once the work has started.

Included, every time

  1. 01
    Updates, applied and checked

Core, plugins and themes updated on a schedule, on a copy first, with the site checked afterwards rather than updated and hoped for.

  2. 02
    Backups you can actually restore

Off the server, on a schedule, and tested. A backup nobody has ever restored is a guess.

  3. 03
    Uptime and certificate monitoring

You hear from us when the site goes down or a certificate is about to expire, not from a customer.

  4. 04
    Security patching

Known vulnerabilities in what you run, tracked and closed. The common case is a plugin with a published advisory and no update applied.

  5. 05
    A monthly allowance of changes

Text edits, new pages, image swaps and the small things that otherwise wait for a quote.

  6. 06
    A written monthly report

What was updated, what was fixed, what is coming, and anything that needs a decision from you.

Not included

  • New features or a redesign, which are separate engagements
  • Content writing beyond the monthly change allowance
  • Hosting fees, domain fees and third party licences
  • Recovery from a hack that predates the plan, quoted separately

What changes

What you get out of it

For the business, not for the website. What we do is the previous section; this is what it is for.

  • The site stops quietly decaying

Updates happen on a schedule rather than when something forces them.

  • A failure is caught before a customer finds it

Monitoring means the first person who knows is us, not somebody trying to buy from you.

  • Small changes stop waiting for a quote

The monthly allowance covers them, so they happen in days rather than being deferred indefinitely.

  • You own the record

Logins, backups and a written history of what was done, so you are never dependent on one person's memory.

What it is held to

Standards and frameworks

Named, published and checkable. These are the frameworks the work is built to and tested against, not badges we claim.

  • OWASP Top 10

The published list of the most common web application security risks. Patching is prioritised against it rather than against whatever is noisiest.

  • Core Web Vitals

Google's published page experience measures. Maintenance includes watching them, because a site that was fast at launch drifts as content is added.

  • CVE advisories

Vulnerabilities in the plugins and libraries you actually run are tracked against their published CVE records, not guessed at.

How it runs

How WordPress maintenance runs, month by month

Five steps, and what each one hands you at the end of it.

  1. 01

    Audit

What you are running, what is out of date, what has no backup and who holds which login.

You getA written starting position and a list of anything urgent.

  2. 02

    Stabilise

The urgent items first: backups in place, certificates valid, known vulnerabilities closed.

You getA site that is safe to leave alone for a month.

  3. 03

    Schedule

Updates, backups and checks on a fixed rhythm, applied to a copy before the live site.

You getA published schedule you can hold us to.

  4. 04

    Report

Monthly, in writing, including what we did not do and why.

You getThe report, and anything needing your decision.

  5. 05

    Improve

Each quarter we look at what keeps breaking, what slows the site down and which plugins are no longer earning their place, and recommend what to change.

You getA short list of improvements, priced before anything is done.

  1. 01Audit. A written starting position and a list of anything urgent.
  2. 02Stabilise. A site that is safe to leave alone for a month.
  3. 03Schedule. A published schedule you can hold us to.
  4. 04Report. The report, and anything needing your decision.

What lands, and what you bring

Deliverables, timeline and what we need from you

You receive

  • A monthly written report
  • Off site backups on a schedule
  • An update log showing what changed and when
  • Uptime and certificate alerts
  • A record of every change made under the plan

How long

The audit takes a few days. After that it is monthly, and the plan can be stopped at the end of any month.

You bring

  • Admin access to the site and the hosting
  • Access to the domain and certificate provider
  • One person who can approve a change
  • Any existing backup arrangement, so it is not duplicated

What it costs

Priced as a website engagement

Priced monthly rather than as a project. What moves it is how much site there is and how much change you expect each month, which the audit settles before anything is committed.

Starts from

₹25,000

$500 if you pay from outside India.

Four to six weeks, longer for a store

All three engagements, side by side

What moves the figure

  • How many pages and how many plugins
  • Whether ecommerce or a portal is involved
  • How much monthly change you expect
  • Whether out of hours response is required

A written quote follows the strategy discussion. Nothing is added afterwards that was not named in it.

Where it goes wrong

Common mistakes, risks and pitfalls

The mistakes we see most, including ones we have made. Worth knowing before you buy this from anyone.

  1. Treating updates as the whole job

Applying updates without a backup and without checking the site afterwards is how a routine Tuesday becomes an outage.

  2. Backups nobody has restored

A backup is a theory until it has been restored once. Most are never tested.

  3. Letting one person hold every login

It works until they leave, and then the recovery costs more than the maintenance would have.

  4. Buying maintenance and never reading the report

The report is where the decisions live. Ignored, it becomes a receipt rather than a service.

The honest comparison

Before you hire a website maintenance company, the alternatives

Including the options where you do not hire us. One of them is right for some readers of this page.

  • Do nothing

The site is small, static and earns nothing. Genuinely fine for some businesses.

Free until the day it is not.

  • Handle it in house

You have somebody technical with time every month.

Their time, and the risk that it slips when they get busy.

  • Pay per fix

Something breaks rarely and you are content to wait for a quote.

Higher per incident, slower, and nothing is prevented.

  • A monthly plan from us

The site matters and nobody in the building wants to own it.

A fixed monthly figure, and a written record of what was done.

Proof

What this looks like in practice

This is a new service page, so there is no case study behind it yet. What is published is the work: 50+ websites delivered for businesses in India, the UAE and the USA, with the portfolio and the before and after rebuilds open to inspect. Maintenance is the same discipline applied monthly rather than once.

Questions

Website maintenance services questions, answered

The things people ask about website maintenance before they buy it.

  • What should a web maintenance company do every month?

Apply core, plugin and theme updates on a schedule and check the site afterwards, keep tested backups off the server, watch uptime and certificates, patch known security problems, make a monthly allowance of small changes, and report in writing. If a website maintenance company cannot show you that record, you are paying for reassurance rather than maintenance.

  • How much does website maintenance cost?

It is priced monthly and depends on how much site there is and how much change you expect. The audit at the start settles that before anything is committed. Hosting, domains and third party licences are separate and are not marked up.

  • Do you maintain sites you did not build?

Yes. The engagement starts with an audit of what you are running, what is out of date and who holds which login, because taking over a site nobody has touched in two years is a different starting point from one we handed over last month.

  • What happens if the site goes down?

Monitoring alerts us rather than you. What happens next depends on the cause: a hosting outage is escalated to the host, a broken update is rolled back from the last backup, and either way you get a written account of what happened.

  • Is hosting included?

No. Hosting, domain registration and third party licences are paid by you, directly to those providers. We will tell you what to buy and set it up, but we do not resell it or mark it up.

  • Can I cancel?

At the end of any month. You keep the backups, the logins and the change history, because they are yours.

  • Is your website maintenance service in India only?

No. The same plan, reports and response times apply to every client who buys our website maintenance services. India, the UAE and the USA are all looked after by one team in Chennai, and prices are in rupees, with a dollar figure for clients abroad.

  • Can you guarantee the site will never be hacked or go down?

No one honestly can. What we promise is that updates are tested before they reach the live site, backups are taken and test-restored, monitoring alerts us before a customer notices, and any incident is fixed and written up so you know exactly what happened.
