Rudraya Homes: Rooms you can actually browse on a phone
Rudraya Homes is a serviced apartment business whose site was rebuilt by Tech Conversion so the accommodation can actually be browsed on a phone and the booking enquiry path holds together on a small screen, which is where most of its visitors arrive.
The client
Who this was built for
What the business does and who it sells to, taken from its own live site rather than from a brief we cannot show you.
What the business does
Serviced apartments, booked directly as well as through listing platforms, where the direct booking is the one worth winning.
Who it sells to
Someone choosing accommodation on a phone, usually comparing two or three options in the same sitting, who needs to see rooms and get to an enquiry quickly.
Why mobile decides it
Accommodation is browsed on a phone far more than on a desktop. A gallery and an enquiry form that only behave on a laptop lose the booking before anyone speaks.
The problem
What the rebuild had to solve
Rooms that were hard to browse and a booking path that broke down on a small screen, on a site whose visitors are overwhelmingly on phones. The business was competing against listing platforms that do both of those things well.
Approach
How we went at it
The method every build here follows, and why each step is in that order. This describes how we work rather than making a claim about the client's business, which is why it can be written and the project's own phases cannot.
- 01
Read the old site as its buyer
Before anything is designed, the existing site is walked the way the customer walks it, on a phone, with the analytics open beside it. The brief comes out of where attention was being lost.
- 02
Agree the argument first
What the site has to say and to whom is settled in writing before a design tool is opened. Every later decision is judged against that one document.
- 03
Design in the browser
Layouts are built as real pages on real devices and reviewed there, so what is approved is what ships rather than a flat picture of it.
- 04
Build search in, not on
Headings, markup, structured data and metadata are written as the pages are, which is why these sites rank for what they are about rather than needing a separate optimisation project.
- 05
Hold a performance budget
A weight and speed target is set at the start and enforced at build. Images, fonts and scripts are held to it rather than trimmed at the end.
- 06
Hand over completely
Code, hosting, domain and every third-party account go to the client in their own name, with a walkthrough for whoever will run it.
Standards applied
Methods and standards
Named, published and checkable. What the build was held to and tested against.
- Core Web Vitals↗
Loading, interactivity and visual stability held in the good band on a mid-range phone.
- WCAG 2.2, level AA↗
Contrast, keyboard operation, focus order, labels and alternative text tested before launch.
- Google Search Essentials↗
The technical and content requirements a page has to meet to be eligible to appear in search at all.
- schema.org structured data↗
Organisation, breadcrumb and page-type markup written into the templates rather than retrofitted.
- Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023↗
What the enquiry forms may collect, what the notice says, and how marketing consent is recorded separately.
The whole page
Scroll it like a visitor
The live site, captured top to bottom. Judge it the way a visitor would.

Results
The numbers, and how to read them
No figures yet. We add them once they are measured from Search Console, Google Ads or the client's own records, with how each was counted written next to it.

In their words
What Rudraya Homes said
“The redesign made our accommodations easier to explore and improved the overall booking experience across mobile devices.”
Published with the client’s permission and quoted verbatim. Nothing was offered in exchange for it.
What this work involved
Services used here
The services this project plainly drew on, judged from the live site rather than from an invoice we are not going to publish.
Insights
The thinking behind the work, in the open.
We write up the problems we had to solve for a client: how answer engines change what a page has to say, and why a redesign that ignores search can cost a year of ranking. Working notes, not filler.
